Kilimanjaro Live ltd has launched www.MyTicket.co.uk which will be a purchase hub for all of Kili’s events in the UK with ties to the German arm of the DEAG group.

The MyTicket concept was developed by Kilimanjaro’s partners DEAG (Deutsche Entertainment AG).

The ticketing platform has been running in Germany for six months and is now responsible for 5% of all of the group’s tickets sold online in the first full quarter of myticket.de’s business operations.

Tickets for Kilimanjaro events and its sister company Raymond Gubbay Ltd in the United Kingdom will now be available from the new platform.

DEAG sells around 1.2 million tickets per year via its companies Kilimanjaro Live Ltd and Raymond Gubbay Ltd.

The launch of myticket.co.uk will merge the companies’ sales activities in order to open up myticket.co.uk for third- party providers next year after the start-up phase has been completed.

Stuart Galbraith, CEO Kilimanjaro said ‘This is an exciting development for Kilimanjaro. We have always operated as an independent promoter and myticket.co.uk allows us to continue to do so and provide fans with tickets directly. We have many exciting projects in place for 2015. It’s a time for growth and investment in our core regular projects whilst looking for interesting opportunities wherever they arise. ’

Anthony Findlay, Chief Executive of Raymond Gubbay Ltd said ‘We are delighted to be working with our partners DEAG and our UK sister company Kilimanjaro Live on this exciting new ticketing platform, providing a tailored service both for our existing customers and giving a greater reach in to the market place.’

Kilimanjaro Live stages around 350 events a year with international artists across the UK including Ed Sheeran’s record breaking three sold out nights at Wembley Stadium, arena tours by Peter Gabriel, Wet Wet Wet, Nitro Circus and Andrea Bocelli. Many of these stars, such as Red Hot Chili Peppers and Simply Red have been promoted by Galbraith and his team since their early beginnings.Music Business Worldwide
