Sony Music UK has appointed Roc Nation’s Dorothy Hui as its VP Digital Business.

Jason Iley previously worked with Hui (pictured inset) at Roc Nation in New York – where he acted as President of Roc Nation Records from June 2013, before he became Chairman & CEO of Sony Music UK a year later.

Having worked in the digital sector for nearly 15 years, Hui led and strategised digital marketing for Roc Nation artists – including Rihanna, Kanye West, Shakira, Rita Ora and J. Cole – for three years.

The exec has experience of partnership marketing, digital retail, direct-to-consumer and social media.

She started her career in music at Sony Music in New York City and went on to lead digital marketing and sales at Universal Motown Records Group and Wind-up Entertainment.
