The UK’s Atlantic Screen Group has acquired the Ealing and Fragile film music catalogues, containing compositions from movies such as The Importance of Being Earnest and the St Trinians series.
In addition, ASG has signed a five-year worldwide publishing agreement with independent film production company Voltage Pictures, whose movies include the Oscar-winning Hurt Locker (pictured).
As well as its core music publishing business – Atlantic Screen Music – ASG offers partners access to its Copyright Administration Services business.
“Atlantic Screen Group / Copyright Administration Services receives my highest recommendation,” said Voltage Pictures Music Administration Manager Michael Wickstron in a memo.
“ASM Assisted Voltage Pictures in restructuring their music administration department and Tania Orchard at ASM has been quite valuable to Voltage with registering all of our music publishing with the various performing rights organisations and making sure that we are receiving the full must royalties that are due on our productions.
“I am a big fan of ASM’s royalty reporting system, Counterpoint’s ‘Music Maestro’. Their reports are quite simple to understand and I can present the reported to the producers without additional explanations.
“Voltage Pictures looks forward to a long and prosperous business relationship with Atlantic Screen Group.”
Atlantic Screen Music typically works with TV broadcasters, production companies and film companies.
Its board has managed and/or owned music catalogues of media groups including Grundy Television, All American Television, Columbia Pictures Music Group, Merchant Ivory, Handmade Films, Endemol, Chorion, Millimage, National Geographic, Lorimar, Pathé Films, Recorded Picture Company, Kintop Films, Bend It Films and Ealing Films.
Los Angeles-based Voltage Pictures was founded in 2005 by veteran sales agent and Academy Award winner Nicolas Chartier.
