Lou Ragagnin appointed COO at Canada’s ole

Independent Canadian music publishing house ole has appointed Lou Ragagnin as its new COO.

Ragagnin is a former COO of the Canadian Olympic Committee the 100th Grey Cup Festival in Toronto, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic and operational plans.

Prior to his Grey Cup role, Rangagnin was Chief Operating Officer for the Canadian Olympic Committee (C.O.C.), where he was responsible for strategic/business/operational planning, Olympic preparation & games, marketing/revenue generation, communications, community relations, government relations and international relations.

Rangagnin will be located in Toronto from January 2013, and will report to ole CEO. Robert Ott.

Founded in 2004, and with offices in Toronto, Nashville and Los Angeles, Ole now boasts over 45,000 songs in its catalogue. It has been named Canadian Country Music Association’s Music Publishing Company of the Year for the past six years and earned its first Grammy Award in 2009 for Best Country Song, White Horse.

Having raised more than $100m in funding, ole has purchased music catalogues from writers including Timbaland, Blacktop, Jody Williams Music, Rami Yacoub, Chris Wallin, Richie MacDonald, Balmur, Keith Follese, Brett Jones, Lighthouse, Frank Myers, Dream Warriors, Encore, David Tyson, and Marsfilm Music.
