Music distribution specialist The Orchard has partners with indie rock label Dangerbird Records in North America.

Founded in 2004, the label is home to artists like Silversun Pickups (pictured), Butch Walker, Jesse Harris, Ume, Sea Wolf and more.

Under this deal, The Orchard will distribute all digital and physical releases in US and Canadian markets.

Dangerbird Records owner/founder Peter Walker said, “As Dangerbird enters our eleventh year, we’re excited to join forces with our new distribution partners at The Orchard. Their company is fueled by incredibly smart, innovative and creative people with a true passion for music and technology.”

As part of the deal, The Orchard will also offer marketing and artist development services for Dangerbird’s upcoming releases in the US and Canada, including Butch Walker’s Afraid of Ghosts (February 3) and Grammy Award-winner Jesse Harris’ No Wrong No Right (February 10).

“Dangerbird’s got a killer combination of amazingly talented artists and a professional, experienced team who approach their business in a collaborative and forward-thinking way,” says The Orchard’s

COO, Colleen Theis. “We’re thrilled to partner with them for the next phase in this exciting label’s history.”

In the 10 years since its founding, Dangerbird Records has released 84 albums to date, and been home home to breakout Los Angeles bands like Fitz and the Tantrums and Silversun Pickups, while also releasing material from Royal Teeth, Sea Wolf, The One AM Radio, Minus the Bear, Darker My Love and many others.Music Business Worldwide
